Meet Scott

Scott Prescott is in his 35th year as a music educator. He has taught elementary, middle school, and high school band students in Minnesota, Iowa, and Michigan, and has worked as a graduate assistant helping music education majors and observing student teachers. He holds degrees in music education from the University of Minnesota (BS 1990) and the University of Michigan (MM 2000) and was named Teacher of the Year by the Minnesota Middle School Association in 2009. Professional memberships include NAfME, MMEA, MBDA, APME, NEA, and EdMn.  Mr. Prescott is currently the band instructor at Pioneer Ridge Middle School in Chaska, Minnesota and is an assistant with the Chanhassen High School marching band. He lives in the Twin Cities.

Scott is a huge fan of dad jokes!  He also enjoys in-line skating, hiking, and listening to all kinds of music.
